A press release, also called a news release or media release, is an official statement issued to newspapers giving information on a particular matter.

Headline:
First
of all, a press release includes a clear and engaging title. A title should be
in active voice and summarizes the main news (update) in a few words.

Sub headline:
Is supports
the major headline and gives a bit more information.
Dateline:
It includes
the city where press release is being issued and time. It appears at the beginning
of the first paragraph.

Introduction:
The
opening paragraph includes 5Ws; Who, What, When, Where, Why (and How). This
paragraph contains the most important information.
Body paragraphs:
These
provide the following supporting details:

Statistics or facts
·
Context and implications
Boilerplate:
It
is the short paragraph, at the end, about the organization. It includes what
organization does and when it was founded.
