Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, a 71 year old man, is in jail since August 5, 2023. Meanwhile, Election Commission of Pakistan has announced that General Election will be held all over country on February 8, 2023. When all political parties in Pakistan busy in election campaign, the country's most famous party, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has been banned for doing election campaign.

In these circumstances Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf announced a virtual public gathering which has been conducted on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 9pm.This was the first time in history of Pakistan that a political party conducted a virtual public gathering. A new record has been made by Imran Khan after this virtual public gathering.

Imran Khan's opposition slowed down internet service on December 17,2023 to create barrier in his virtual public gathering. Despite these tactics, used by Imran Khan's opposition, the virtual public gathering has crossed more than 4.5 million views on different platform of social media; YouTube, Facebook and Twitter (X). International media including India also reported this issue of internet in Pakistan. It is not ethical to oppress someone's voice. This is against right of freedom of speech.

The event that has become the major headline of national and international media is that Imran Khan uses his AI clone to address with people in the virtual public gathering. PTI uses Imran Khan's "voice clone" to transfer his message to public. At first glance public get surprised when Imran Khan appeared on screen during the virtual gathering.

In this address, Imran Khan said, " My fellow Pakistanis! I want to commend my social media team for their historic efforts. I take pride in all the social media enthusiasts who have been writing since the beginning of the regime change operation. Thanks to all of them. You might be wondering about my condition in jail. First, let me clear that being in jail, for me, is synonymous with worship for the true freedom of Pakistan. I am ready to sacrifice my life for my country and mu people. In jail, I have read history, religion, literature along with the Quran and the Prophets's P.B.U.H biography, gaining strength for my mind. After reading all these books, today I feel stronger within myself. For me, real freedom is when the country's system operates according to the constitution, and the law is fully enforced. Constitution and rule of law are the only ways to progress. But unfortunately, at this time, we are completely moving in the opposite direction. The party that has support of 75% of the people (according to survey reports) is being kept out of the electoral process. PTI is not allowed to hold worker conventions or gatherings. Our people are being oppressed, and their are also being harassed. I commend all the leaders of PTI who stand for this cause. History will remember your sacrifices. I am deeply impressed by courage of all the women, especially Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Aalia Hamza, Sanam Javed, and Tayyiba Raja, and all the female workers of PTI. Their courage has astonished everyone."
