Assassination attack on Raoof Hassan, PTI's information secretary

On Tuesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) information secretary, Raoof Hassan survived an attack by a group of transgenders outside a private news channel.

The group attacked on his face in G-7 center Islamabad with a sharp weapon leaving behind a deep cut on right side.

Former Prime Minister, Imran Khan said:

"Strongly condemn the cowardly attack on Raoof Hassan, our party's Information secretary. The entire nation knows who is orchestrating these attacks on our leadership. It's the same powers that lurk in the shadows & use proxies to harass & threaten judges & make a mockery of elections by brazenly tampering results. 

Let us make it very clear that PTI will not be deterred by such dirty tactics & violence which only serve to expose the perpetrators before the nation."

The deepness of cut suggests that the attackers were professional murderers.

Moreover, Raoof Hassan told that the group tried to cut his throat.

"From the video of the crime scene, the attacker aimed for Raoof Hassan's throat with the blade." said PTI's Hammad Azhar (Former Federal Minister of Energy of Pakistan)

A case has been registered against the group of transgenders regarding the attack on him.
