Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi triumph: Acquitted in Iddat case.

Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Ahmad Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi have been acquitted in Iddat (unlawful marriage) case.

Today, Islamabad's District and session court orders immediate release of Imran Khan who is in jail since August 5, 2023.

Head judge of the court, Judge Afzal Majoka announced the verdict declaring sentence in Iddat case annulled.

If Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are not wanted in any other case they shouwbe released immediately: Court orders

As per court decision, Imran Khan is a 'Free' man, after spending a year in jail, as there is no arrest record in any case currently.

Iddat case was the unethical case moreover, a last hurdle keeping Imran Khan in jail.

Both were convicted seven years in jail on February 3, before general elections, on a complaint filed by Bushra Imran's ex-husband, Khawar Maneeka. Maneeka stated thatvthe couple contracted marriage during Bushra Bibi's Iddat period.
