IHS suspends Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood's punishment in cipher case


Islamabad: Today, Islamabad High Court suspends the punishment of Former Prime minister Imran Khan and Former Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Cipher case.


IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan has announced the short and final decision after argumentation from both sides.


Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood were sentenced to 10 years jail in cipher case by trial court on 30 January 2024, just before general elections.


Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that today the nation has seen that the just decision came and the baseless case has been eliminated due to which Imran Khan has spent around 10 months in jail. Added that the nation will see that Imran Khan will be outside very soon.”
