New Delhi: At least one person has died and eight are injured after roof collapse at Delhi airport.

Roof collapse occurred at Indira Gandhi International airport early on Friday.

A portion of the roof of the Delhi airport's terminal-1 (T1) collapsed amid heavy rains resulted in damage of at least four vehicles, parked in the pick-up and drop area of the terminal.

“There were eight injured and one man died,” Delhi Fire Services assistant divisional officer Ravinder Singh

At least 10 flights were cancelled and about 40 were delayed as a result of the incident at country's busiest airport.
