Houthi missile seen over Tel Aviv before interception, Central Israel on high alert.

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that the missile, launched from Yemen, was intercepted by an 'Arrow' aerial defence system.

Yemen's Houthis launched a missile over Israel on Thursday night.According to Israeli military, the missile was intercepted after being detected and seen over Tel Aviv, Central Israel, following the sirens sounded across the Israel's capital, Tel Aviv. 

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that the missile, launched from Yemen, was intercepted by an 'Arrow' aerial defence system. After interception, its broken pieces were fallen on homes and other public places.

The missile presence over Tel Aviv indicates that it had already crossed the air space before entering Tel Aviv. The incident has raised concerns about Israel's defence system.

Yemen's Houthis have fired ballistic missiles and drones since October 7, 2023 in solidarity with unarmed Palestinians being killed by Israel.

In July, Houthis launched their drone at Tel Aviv for the first time. Houthis said that they are acting in solidarity with Palestinians since the Israel's war on Gaza.

Since October 07, Israel has killed 41,534 Palestinians and 96,092 wounded.
