Protests continue in D-Chowk: PTI supporters persist while holding ground despite State's brutal crackdown

Protests continue in D-Chowk: PTI supporters persist while holding ground despite State's brutal crackdown

Protestors in D-Chowk, Islamabad, have continued as PTI supporters stand firm against brutal response from authorities. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had started protest yesterday against the unlawful imprisonment of Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and amendments in the constitution.

Imran Khan had delivered message on Friday: Ready to sacrifice my life for freedom movement. I wil not leave my people and country and go anywhere. I want you all tor each D-chowk Islamabad today for a peaceful protest.

The peaceful protest turned tensed when the government used tear gas and rubber bulets. Moreover over 300 containers where deployed to stop public from entering D-chowk, Islamabad.

Why Imran Khan's popularity threats the authorities? In addition to rubber bullets and tear gas, the state also dug the trench at motorway to stop Chief Minister KPK Ali Amin Gandapur's caravan from entering Islamabad.

Gandapur's caravan, from different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, left for the D-chowk protest on Friday morning.

The road leading to Rawalpindi Adiala Jail was blocked with containers and heavy personnel was deployed.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan is in jail since August 5, 2013. The 72-year-old Khan is standing firmed on his vision of free sovereign Pakistan.

Police arrested workers and civilians from D-chowk. Moreover, Iman khan's sisters, Aleema Khanum and Uzma Khanun were also arrested alomg with other woman workers.

CM KPK's caravan entered punjab yesterday to join protestors in Islamabad  despite of the trench. The trench was filled by machinery brought by CM KPK. The workers and public removed the containers on way to Islamabad.

Furthermore, state had started tear gas shelling at Grendapur's caravan from helicopter.

Yesterday, journalist siddique Jan reported that PTI had workers were seen everywhere in the city.

"What a cowardly and Fearful government. Internet is slow in most parts of the country and outages are reported in many areas," Imran Riaz khan on Friday



On late friday, government deployed army in Islamabad for security purpose.

Senior journalist Imran Riaz said that this government could had delayed the protest by stopping the constitutional amendment, but perhaps they were looking for an opportunity.

PTI workers from Punjab, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and KPK have continued the protest despite state's brutality. Today, on Saturday the protestors are standing firmly.

On Saunday, PTI has jalsa sheduled at Minar-e-Pakistan. Government of Punjab has the area with water.

PTI has called for protest all across Punjab. Police has started arresting workers in Lahore. After Islamabad, army to be deployed in Lahore.

Ali Amin Gandapur has reached Islamabad. Moreover, a caravan from KPK has entered D-Chowk.
