Imran Khan hatrick conviction - have sentenced to 7 years jail in Iddah case

On Saturday, Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan along with his wife has been sentenced to 7 years jail in Iddah case.

This decision is announced by Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah on complaint by Khawar Maneeka (former husband of Bushra Bibi). Moreover, a fine of Rs. 500,000 each has imposed by court on Imran Khan and his wife.

In 75 years of history of Pakistan, this is happening first time that someone's Nikah (marriage) is declared un-Islamic by the court.

The couple said that they can take oath by putting hands on The Holy Quran that they had conducted their Nikah after Iddah of Bushra Bibi. This case is below the belt against Imran Khan from his opponents.

Imran Khan said that through cases like Tosha Khana, Cipher and Iddah, not only their illogicality and baselessness have come to light but the hidden political ambitions have also come to fore. Moreover he said that they had increased the speed of Iddah case because they want to create a narrative against my dream of aligning Pakistan with the principles of the state of Medina. Therefore, just to find me guilty, the judicial process has been wrapped up in a hurry, violating even the lowest standards of transparency.

On Tuesday, Imran Khan was sentenced to 10 years jail in Cipher case and 14 years jail in Tosha Khana case on Wednesday. Four days before General Elections, on Saturday, he has sentenced to 7 years jail in Iddah case.

Collectively, he has been sentenced to 31 years jail without proper trial which is ridiculous.
