Islamabad High Court orders Imran Khan's release, grants bail in Toshakhana case
IHC approved Imran Khan's bail plea, ordering his release.
Islamabad: In a significant development, Islamabad High Court has granted bail to Former Prime Imran Khan in Toshakhana (illegal sale of state gifts) case on Wednesday.
Presiding over the case IHC's Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, mandating Rs. 1 million surety bonds, approved Khan's bail plea in the case.
Moreover, the court directed former prime minister to appear before the trial court after being granted bail, waning that any uncooperative behavior bail could lead to bail cancellation.
During the proceedings, Barrister Salman Akram Raja argued that action had taken regarding state gifts did not violate the Toshakhana policy.
Last month, Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi secured the bail in Toshakhana case and released from jail after 9 months of incarceration.
