Punjab Government Extends Cinema Operating Hours After Fahad Mustafa's Appeal
Fahad Mustafa requested Punjab Government to extend cinema timings.
The Government of Punjab has issued the notification extending cinema operating hours till 11 pm after an appeal by actor, Fahad Mustafa.
On Wednesday, the actor appealed Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb requesting to consider cinema timings - which were closing at 8pm.
"Extending cinema operating hours by a modest margin could help increase ticket sales and overall revenue for cinemas and film distributors, support employment across the exhibition and hospitality sectors, and provide greater access and convenience for audiences who are only able to attend screenings later in the evening," appeal.
Fahad Mustafa posted thanking Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz as her action made it possible for his fans to see his film, "Zombeid," in cinemas.
"Yes, people of Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reopened the cinemas for you. Now go and watch our film," Fahad Mustafa.
